My name is Rebecca and I am a mother of two wonderful children living in Collingwood, Ontario. I currently work from home and enjoy getting outdoors, blogging, and oil painting.

After graduating from University (in French and Fine Art), I lived in a small town in the mountains of Japan for five years, where I taught English to children, met my husband, and ran a hiking company for foreigners living in Japan.

When we left Japan, we flew to Costa Rica to get married and then moved to Whister BC, where my husband and I started a Gourmet Pie shop and had our first child–our son Keenan.

After two years, we sold out to our partners and moved to California. My husband worked there for four years. We had our daughter, Tanyss (at home) in the desert and I started my ‘home based’ career… which has evolved nicely over the years into a combination of network marketing and internet marketing.

On returning to Canada in 2006, we initially chose Kelowna BC as our home because of the mild climate and beautiful scenery, but after a few years in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, we realized that family is the most important thing in the world–especially when there are grandparents and cousins involved–so we bought an RV and drove across Canada back to Ontario.

We have been living in the beautiful Georgian Triangle on the shores of Georgian Bay since then. And although we are true ‘travelbugs’ at heart, we feel it’s important to maintain a  stable life (at least part of the year) close to family now that our kids are in school.

Welcome to my blog, Moms With Vision, which is a way for me to share what I can about living a healthy, inspired life,  and teaching our children to think outside the box, and be the best they can be.
